Manifold System Release 5.00 Professional Edition can import over 80 different formats used in GIS, including formats for vector drawings, raster images, terrain elevation surfaces, satellite imagery, raster data surfaces and database tables. Formats readable by Manifold include all of the formats used by government websites for publishing GIS data for free download, including formats such as SDTS, TIGER/Line, VPF, USGS DOQ and many, many more.

Because Manifold can read so many formats you can choose from thousands of terabytes of data for free download from Internet web sites. To get started, the Manifold CD includes several hundred megabytes of maps as well.
