Supplementary
Notes
Manifold Debugger - Both the
Debugger and Enterprise Editions include the Manifold Debugger. For
details, see the Professional
with Debugger web page. For the User Manual topic on the
debugger, click
here.
Suppress Manifold IMS Logo - When
Professional Edition and Professional with Debugger are used to serve
pages via the Manifold Internet Map Server (IMS), they add a text line
"Powered by Manifold.net" to the display that contains a
hyperlink back to the main Manifold IMS web page. For a simple
example, click
here. To eliminate this logo text line, Enterprise Edition must be
used.
Writing .E00 Format - .E00
format is a GIS format used by ESRI's ArcINFO product. All Manifold
editions can read .E00, but only Enterprise Edition can write .E00.
If you would like to have seamless back and forth interchange with ArcInfo
installations, use Enterprise Edition.
Enterprise Features - Manifold's
Enterprise Edition provides centralized geospatial storage on
enterprise-class DBMS products such as SQL Server, Oracle or IBM DB2 as
well as .e00 write capability and the ability to suppress the
Manifold logo line in IMS web sites. For a complete discussion of
Enterprise features, see the Enterprise
Edition web page. Universal Edition delivers an Enterprise
Edition license together with Business Tools and Surface Tools extensions.
Geocoding Data - The Manifold
2004 Geocoding Data product ($100) is required for US street address
geocoding in all editions of Manifold System. All editions are
available in an (edition) + US Geocoding Data bundle that saves $20
on the cost of Manifold System and Geocoding Data purchased separately.
Extensions - Business Tools and
Surface Tools extensions may be added to Professional, Professional with
Debugger or Enterprise Editions. Universal Edition provides both
Business Tools and Surface Tools extensions together with an Enterprise
Edition license at a significant savings.
